Waterborne polyurethane is used as leather finishing agent which has excellent film forming performance and bonding fastness. Its coating has high wear resistance, high elasticity, water resistance, weather resistance, cold resistance, heat resistance and chemical resistance. The finished leather with waterborne polyurethanes feels plump and comfortable which can greatly improve the grade of the finished leather. Waterborne polyurethane is one of the most important leather finishing agents.
The following waterborne polyurethanes are recommended for dermal leather applications:
30% solid content. It exhibits excellent leveling on the dermal surface. Its coating exhibits good adhesion, dry and wet rub resistance. It has good folding resistance at low temperature.
30% solid content. It exhibits excellent leveling on the dermal surface, and exhibits a higher performances.
38% solid content, for high gloss finishes. It is based on polyether and polyester. Its coating is hard, and exhibits high gloss, excellent water resistance, excellent adhesion, and excellent abrasion resistance.
SiwoPUD®-MATT-1901 & SiwoPUD®-MATT-1910
32% solid content, for matte finishing agent.
25% solid content, based on polyester, for adhesion agent. Its coating is soft and shows long-term sticky, and excellent adhesion on difficult leather and attached substrate.
30% solid content, cationic waterborne polyurethane, for leather primer. Its corresponding NMP-free products is SiwoPUD®-1109F.
30% solid content, nonionic waterborne polyurethane. Its film is soft and elastic. It has good compatibility with cationic and anionic waterborne polyurethanes, acrylic emulsions, or other ionic aqueous resin.
