Industrial coatings are essentially a type of paint that is applied on various derivatives like concrete or steel. It’s caked on in a way that is designed to be both aesthetic as well as protective. There are many different kinds of industrial coatings. Polymers are frequently used as an industrial coating. Waterborne polyurethanes have been developed as an important polymer material for waterborne industrial coatings. They have been widely used in wood, metal, glass, Interior and exterior wall coatings, metal surface treatment and other industrial coatings.
◆Wood & furniture coating
35% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. The coating formed by it dries quickly, and has high hardness, high gloss, excellent abrasion resistance, and good alcohol resistance. It mainly be used in wood & furniture for 1K coatings with self-crosslinking traits at room temperature.
Aromatic waterborne polyurethane, 35% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. The coating formed by it dries quickly, and has high hardness, high gloss, and excellent resistance to heat and wear.
30% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. They are cationic waterborne polyurethanes. They have good hardness, and are applied to wood primer to seal tannin to prevent the coating from yellowing.
◆Floor finish
SiwoPUD®-OH-903 & SiwoPUD®-OH-1538
35% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. They are based on polyester. 903 has a low content of hydroxyl group, 1538 contains high hydroxyl content. They mainly be used in 2-pack systems with water-dispersible polyisocyanate crosslinker. It is suggested that 903 is crosslinked with 10-15% water-dispersible polyisocyanate, 1538 is crosslinked with 20-25% water-dispersible polyisocyanate to maximize performance properties after 5-7 days.
◆Construction coating
NMP and DMAC free. They are waterborne polyurethanes based on polycarbonate with 60% and 35% solid content respectively. They exhibit excellent water resistance, adhesion, abrasion resistance, light fastness, and hydrolysis resistance. They are ideal materials for elastic construction coatings.
◆Metal coating and glass coating
Anionic polyurethane dispersions with high molecular weight. Its coating has high hardness, and excellent adhesion to metal, glass and other substrates. It has excellent water resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance, high weather resistance, and stain resistance. It can be used for metal, glass, wood coating and industrial coatings, etc. Their corresponding NMP-free products are SiwoPUD®-1620 and SiwoPUD®-1622.
◆Plastic and rubber coating
SiwoPUD®-916, SiwoPUD®-913 & SiwoPUD®-352
These are some of our earliest products with NMP or DMAC. They have a solid content of 35-38%. 916 and 913 exhibit excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance, UV resistance, and water resistance. 916 has medium hardness, 913 has more excellent wear resistance, better heat resistance and higher hardness. 352 based on polyether and polyester, exhibits high gloss and low temperature resistance. Now the corresponding NMP, DMAC-free products are SiwoPUD®-994F, SiwoPUD®-E620, SiwoPUD®-352F.
Aromatic waterborne polyurethane, 33-35% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. Its coating has medium hardness. In particular, it has excellent adhesion on PVC. It can be widely used in leather, rubber and PVC etc.
◆Metal surface treatment chemicals
SiwoPUD®-917, SiwoPUD®-1591, SiwoPUD®-1217 & SiwoPUD®-1219
917 and 1591 are anionic waterborne polyurethane, 1217 and 1219 is cationic waterborne polyurethane. They are suitable for different customer’s formula, depending on the acidity and alkalinity of the anti-rust additives. They have excellent heat resistance and resistance to salt spray.
